Moving a File to a Folder

As your library grows, you'll sometimes want to move a file into a more appropriate folder without re-uploading it.

Drag and drop

Drag a file onto a folder in the sidebar or the media hierarchy to move it in. To move it back out to the project root, drag it onto the project name at the top of the sidebar.

Using the move dialogue

1. Open the Media Hierarchy: Select Media in the project navigation.
2. Right-click a file to open the options, or on mobile click the menu button .
3. Click "Move" from the menu.
4. In the dialogue, select a new location for the file.
5. Click the "Save" button to move the file.

Moving multiple files at once

You can hold down your Left-click mouse button to drag a selection, hold Shift and click to select a range, or press Cmd/Ctrl + click to select individual files. Then drag the selection onto a folder, or right-click and choose Move to move them all together.
