Permanently deleting a file removes it from your media library for good. If you're unsure, consider archiving it instead, archived files can be restored at any time.
Before you delete
A file must be archived before it can be permanently deleted. Before you permanently deleting a file, consider the following:
- Download a copy if you might need it again. Once deleted, a file cannot be recovered. See Downloading a File.
- Check where it's used. Deleting a file removes it from any items or fields that reference it.
- Only Owners and Administrators can delete files.
