Use roles to control who can manage team settings, workspace structure, and content operations.
This page explains permissions for these three roles:
Role overview
Owner
The person who created the team, or to whom ownership has been transferred. The owner can perform any action.
There can only be one Owner per team.
Administrator
The highest access level in this permission model.
- Control across billing, team management, integrations, recycle bin operations, and content structure.
- Best for platform owners and senior administrators who need end-to-end control.
Editor
A production-focused role for people creating and managing content structures.
- Can create, update, and delete files, folders, items, projects, templates, and workflows.
- Cannot manage team membership, billing, integrations, onboarding, or recycle bin actions.
Assignee
The most restricted role.
- Does not have administrative or structure-management permissions.
- Best when users only need to be assigned work without broader workspace control.
Good to know
Assignees can only access content items they are assigned to and files they uploaded. They can only access projects that contain content they are assigned to.
