Permanently Deleting a Project

Deleting a project permanently removes it and all its content. If you're unsure, consider archiving it instead, archived projects can be restored at any time.

Before you delete

A project must be archived before it can be permanently deleted. Before you permanently deleting a project, consider the following:

  • Export any content you need. Once deleted, items and files cannot be recovered. Use Export content as a CSV to save a backup.
  • Check with your team. Make sure no one else is actively working in the project.
  • Only Owners and Administrators can delete projects.

Permanently deleting a project

  1. Open Team Settings by clicking your team name in the global bar.
  2. Within the team menu select Recycle Bin.
  3. Within the Recycle Bin, find your project underneath the "Recycled Projects" heading.
  4. Click the Permanently Delete button.
  5. In the dialogue, confirm you want to permanently delete your project. All items, templates and files will also be permanently deleted.

This cannot be undone

Deleting a project removes all items, templates, files and activity history permanently. There is no recovery option after deletion.
