Export Content as a CSV

Updated 28 July 2026 3 min read

CSV export lets you map CollectContent data into spreadsheet columns, then run an integration job to generate a CSV file.

Before setting up this integration, it is a good idea to read Understanding Integrations first.

This integration does not require any credentials or API keys.

Build the export flow

CSV export uses a simple mapping flow that you build in CollectContent. Unlike other integrations, the export flow for exporting a CSV file is pre-defined.

You define which content to include, then decide what data each column should contain.

  1. Open the Integrations: Select Integrations in the project navigation.
  2. Open CSV export integration: Select the CSV integration you want to configure.
  3. Filter the content to export: Use one or more filters to choose which content is included: Content Name, Folder, Assignees, Workflow Status and Template.
  4. Add columns: Select Add Column to create each CSV column mapping.
  5. Choose the value for each column: For each column, select one of the following:
    • Content name: The name of the piece of content.
    • Template field: The value from a specific content field.
    • Manual value: A fixed value you define while setting up the mapping.
    • No value: Leaves the column blank.
  6. Set repeatable group fields (when needed): If a selected template field is inside a repeatable group, choose which repeat instance number to export. If a piece of content does not have that repeat, then the cell will be blank.
  7. Arrange column order: Use the up and down arrow buttons to rearrange columns.
  8. Remove unwanted columns: Use the delete button to delete a column.
  9. Save integration settings: Select Save Integration.

Available blocks

The CSV export integration is built from a small set of pre-defined blocks.

  • For each piece of Content: A block that lets you select which of your CollectContent items should be included in the integration. You can use one or more filters to choose which content is included: Content Name, Folder, Assignees, Workflow Status and Template.
  • Create Row: Lets you add columns to your CSV file. Each column can use Content name, Template field, Manual value, or No value. If a template field is inside a repeatable group, choose which repeat instance to export. If that repeat does not exist for a piece of content, the cell is left blank. You can move columns with the up and down arrows, or remove a column with the delete button.

Exported content

Some field types are exported differently:

  • Checkbox, radio, and select values are exported as comma-separated values.
  • Attachment and image fields export the file name.

If you need the actual files (not just file names), use Exporting Media & Files to a ZIP.

Run the integration

  1. Run the integration job: Start a new job from the CSV integration.
  2. Wait for completion: Monitor the job status until it finishes.
  3. Download the CSV: If the job succeeds, a download link appears beneath that job.

If a job fails, review the logs and follow Investigating Failed Integrations. Pleas see Running Integrations for more information.

Good to know

Jobs run in the background, so you can leave this page and come back later to download the CSV.
