Understanding Integrations

Integrations are how content moves between CollectContent and the other systems your team uses.

CollectContent supports a growing set of integrations, but if the system you use isn't listed yet, you can let us know.

You can use integrations to:

  • Import content into CollectContent from external platforms.
  • Export content from CollectContent into external platforms.

How integrations work

Integrations work in different ways depending on the external platform being used:

  • CollectContent jobs: Some integrations run directly inside CollectContent. You start the import or export in CollectContent, and the work required to perform that integration is performed directly inside CollectContent. For example, creating a CSV file.
  • External integrations: Some integrations run in external systems, such as platforms that pull content from CollectContent. In that case, the integration work is performed by the external platform. For example, WordPress importing your content.

Building and configuring integrations

Teams can build integrations that work for your content and use-case. As every platform works differently, each integration has its own setup requirements.

Depending on the integration, you may need:

  • API keys or access tokens
  • Endpoint URLs
  • Field mapping and environment-specific settings

Requesting new integrations

We're always building new integrations. If you don't see the one you need yet, you can request it.

  1. Open the request page: Go to Request an Integration on our website.
  2. Complete the form: Share the platform you'd like to connect and how you'd use it.
  3. Submit your request: Select Send Request. Our product team reviews every submission.

We track these requests to help prioritise our roadmap. You can also view what we're building next on the Product Roadmap.

Available integrations

The integrations currently available are:

  • TerminalFour Export: Export content directly into TerminalFour.
  • CSV Export: Export content as a CSV file.
  • Media ZIP Export: Export media as a ZIP archive.

If you need to move content into a platform that isn't directly supported yet, CSV export and media ZIP export are good general-purpose options.
