As a project grows, so does the amount of content inside it. CollectContent gives you a folder tree, filters and search to keep everything easy to find, plus manual reordering so your most important content sits exactly where you want it.
The sidebar and folder structure
The "Content" page in your project has a folder tree in the sidebar. Folders group related content together, for example, by campaign, content type or publishing date, so your team isn't scrolling through one long, flat list.
- Open the Content Hierarchy: Select Content in the project navigation.
- Create a folder: Click the Create button, followed by Create Folder.
- Name it: Type a name and press Enter. The folder appears in both the sidebar and the content list. Folders will be created within the folder you are currently in.
- Nest folders: Drag a folder onto another folder to nest it.
- Move content in: Drag a piece of content onto a folder in the sidebar, or right-click it and select Move.
Right-click any folder to rename or delete it. Deleting a folder doesn't delete its contents; everything is moved back to the project root automatically.
Filtering content
Filters narrow a long list down to exactly what you're after without changing how anything is organised.
Use the filter bar above the content list to narrow by:
- Name: show only content that matches the provided search.
- Assignee: show only content assigned to specific people.
- Due date: show content due by a certain date.
- Workflow Stage: show only content at a particular workflow stage.
- Template: show only content built from a particular template.
Combine multiple filters at once and save a filtered view as a bookmark so you can return to it later.
Searching for content
- Search for content by name either in the filters or in the search field in the project navigation.
- Type a name or keyword: Search matches against content names.
- Select a result: Choose a result to jump straight to that piece of content.
Good to know
Search looks across the whole project by default. Open a search from inside a folder to search only that folder.
Reordering content within a folder
Within any folder, you can put content in whatever order makes sense for your team, for example, the order you plan to publish it.
- Grab the content: Hover over a content item in the list, then press and hold the left mouse button to begin dragging.
- Drag to a new position: Drop it where you want it. The list updates instantly, and the new order is saved automatically.
- Move a selection together: Hold
Shiftand click to select a range, orCmd/Ctrl+Clickto select individual items, then drag the whole selection at once.
Reordering only changes the position of content within its current folder. To move content elsewhere, see Moving a Piece of Content to a Folder.
