Updating the Workflow Status of a Piece of Content

Every piece of content sits at a stage in your project's workflow. For example Draft, In Review or Published. Updating its stage is how your team tracks progress and knows what needs attention next.

Changing the workflow stage from the content hierarchy

  1. Open the Content Hierarchy: Select Content in the project navigation.
  2. Right-click a content item to open the options, or on mobile click the menu button .
  3. Click "Workflow" from the menu.
  4. In the dialogue, select a new workflow stage for the content item.
  5. Click the "Save" button to save the content item.

You can also update a content item workflow stage within the content hierarchy by clicking the workflow stage indicator and selecting a new stage.

Changing the workflow stage from the editor

  1. Open the Content Hierarchy: Select Content in the project navigation.
  2. Click a piece of content to open the editor.
  3. On the content editor, click the settings button at the top of the editor header.
  4. Click "Workflow" from the menu.
  5. In the dialogue, select a new workflow stage for the content item.
  6. Click the "Save" button to save the content item.

You can also update a content item workflow stage within the editor by clicking the workflow stage in the middle of the editor header and selecting a new stage.
