How assignments work

Individual team members can be assigned either directly to items or to specific workflow stages. Assigments help editors to understand who is responsible for a piece of content at any moment in time.

Assignments can also be used with the "Assignee" team member role to provide certain team members with permissions to edit only the content they are assigned to.
